I'm not emigrating there, but I will be doing something a little different on that platform. I'm going to serialize some new, as yet unpublished novels, like they used to in the days of yore in pulp magazines. First up: Barren, following Candace, a young woman in the year 2035 who unwittingly founds an anti-natalist movement that threatens to depopulate the entire planet.
The story got me some interest from large agencies and publishers, but in the end it was deemed too much of a risk. Well, when has risk ever stopped me before? This is my way of giving myself permission to be the artist I want to be, on my own terms and timeline. Call it Punk Rock Publishing 101.
Alongside the fiction, I'll be sharing notes on the ins and outs of publishing and building a brand identity in the age of A.I., plus my thoughts on the process of writing books. Everything is free for the time being, and will be for at least a little while.
